About us: We are POSSE, a group of Oakmont Village residents who urge the OVA board to continue negotiating with Burbank Housing to improve its development plans for Elnoka to address community concerns about traffic, fire safety, viewsheds, habitat protections and groundwater recharge. In March 2024, the OVA Board signed an agreement not to oppose this development, in exchange for Burbank building an emergency access road. The board signed that agreement 20 months before Burbank’s plans were made public in November 2025, leaving Oakmont residents only a few months to consider this development’s impacts on our safety and quality of life. We believe the board bears the responsibility of hearing Oakmont residents’ concerns and pressing Burbank to satisfactorily address them.
